Marc Ter Stegen x adidas UltraBOOST Parley Pack

Continuing its sustainable production movement, adidas recently teamed up once again with Parley for the Oceans on a new limited UltraBOOST Parley release. Aiming to raise awareness of marine plastic pollution, the German sportswear label tapped FC Barcelona goalkeeper and ocean activist Marc Ter Stegen for the new project. The pack created by the three parties for the noble cause is inspired by the dark blues and greens of the urban harbor and displays the latest in eco-innovation technology.

Both the Parley UltraBOOST and UltraBOOST X silhouettes feature Primeknit uppers consisting of 85% Parley Ocean PlasticTM created from upcycled marine waste, intercepted before it has the chance to enter the ocean. The midsole of the shoes is constructed of adidas’ now signature sustainable BOOST technology and assisted by a Continental Rubber outsole made from natural materials. Additionally, seamlessly integrated NFC chips offer wearers with information on the plastic pollution to add empowering element to the sustainability-focused pack. Priced at €200 EUR (approximately $250 USD), the Marc Ter Stegen x UltraBOOST Parley pack will be available online and at select adidas Sportswear retailers April 16th.
