This 20-Year-Old Cobbler Created His Own Business Model Restoring Beat-Up Sneakers


Chicago’s own Joshua Marin is an up-and-coming craftsman, who, like his father and grandfather before him, carved out a niche in the noble trade of shoe repair. Known in his community as the “teen cobbler,” Marin’s expertise is sneaker touch-ups, Air Jordan’s in particular. Although inheriting the skill from his paternal predecessors, the artist succeeded in modernizing his mastery, incorporating sneaker culture into his work. And now, with three Fix Your Kicks outposts to his name, the Chi-town native is as much an esteemed entrepreneur as he is a shoe technician. Peep the video above.
