Nike Air Max 97 LX "Swarovski" Silver Bullet

Of all the changes the Air Max 97 has gone through in its 20th anniversary celebration year, none is more drastic than this version created in collaboration with Swarovski. A women's style, the Nike Air Max 97 pictured uses Crystal Fabric to add a brilliant layer to the original runner. To build the shoe, members of the Nike Women team traveled to Swarovski headquarters in Wattens, Austria, where they got access to the company's archive of materials. The black Swarovski Nike Air Max 97 LX released in March for $400. The other pair seen here, which mimics the original "Silver Bullet" Nike Air Max 97, will release in women’s sizing on Sept. 7th.

Concerning materials, this release contains mostly mesh materials and will continue the lightweight trend in running shoes and sneakers. You can take a look at the NMD_R1′s new olive and black colorway above.

Nike Little Posite Pro GS "Nerf"

2017 Nike Little Posite Pro “NERF” (GS EXCLUSIVE) 🔥😱 Release info soon. Retail $180 Via Jane R.

A post shared by zSneakerHeadz (@zsneakerheadz) on

An upcoming Nike Foamposite style for the small-footed appears to incorporate a reference to a Nike release from years back. Shown here is a leaked image of the "Nerf" Nike Little Posite Pro, a GS-exclusive style with a colorful upper to it. While Nike worked with Nerf before in an official capacity on a 2011 pair of Kevin Durant sneakers that came packaged with a mini basketball hoop and ball, this Nike Foamposite doesn't look to be on that level. Instead, it's likely that the "Nerf" aspect is more a nickname derived from the colorway's overlap with those KD sneakers.

First Look: Nike Kobe AD Mid

Nike Basketball introduces Kobe Bryant’s next shoe, the Nike Kobe AD Mid. It’s a continuation of Mamba Mentality that encompasses both the physical and psychological elements of basketball. While his passion for practice and training is well documented, the five-time champion’s curiosity about the external factors that influence human behavior is lesser known. One aspect of that interest is the psychology of color, particularly in understanding the correlations between color, attitude and emotion. The all-new, mid-top Nike Kobe AD applies Bryant’s intrigue of how color personally affects him to a five-shoe collection illuminating the origins and depth of his unyielding quest for improvement.

The shoes are confirmed to include BOOST cushioning technology and is officially labeled with the colorway Solid Grey/Chalk White/Core Black. A re-release may happen in the future at adidas retailers, so keep in mind that there’s also a black colorway of the Yeezy Wave Runner as well as a Yeezy basketball shoe in the works. If you’re desperate to cop a pair, confirmed pairs are up on eBay.

Reebok Instapump Fury Road "Goldfish"

The Reebok Instapump Fury has been one of the brand’s most solid retro offerings since bringing back the 90s runner for quite some time now. The jarring split midsole and unique Pump system throughout has made the shoe a noticeable on-feet selection and was futuristic enough to withstand any modernization until recently. The Reebok Instapump Fury Road switched things up with a more standard midsole unit and an upper that paid tribute to the original in a tasteful way, but all of that is camouflaged by this new Goldfish pattern featuring a unique all over graphic of the orange fish throughout for a unique twist.

Rumored Release: Air Jordan 2 Retro "Melo" 2018

Carmelo Anthony is still searching for his latest home in the NBA after a fallout with the New York Knicks, but Jordan Brand is going to pay tribute to Melo’s time in Denver come May 2018. SoleFly x Air Jordan XVII Low "Lightning"

SoleFly will not only launch a "Lightning" Trunner LX High collaboration this November, but they'll follow it up with a similar colorway of the Air Jordan 17 Low next February. While not confirmed, the retro is believed to be the yellow-based pair spotted in the teaser shot above. The timing of that is interesting because Michael Jordan famously wore the original "Lightning" Air Jordan 17 Low in the 2002 NBA All-Star Game. This appears to be an alternate tribute to Jordan's return to the star-studded weekend.

Neighborhood x adidas NMD Collaboration

We already know Neighborhood has an Iniki on the way, but it may have also lent its signature styling to another retro-inspired silhouette. Images have surfaced of a co-branded Adidas NMD sample, donning Neighborhood's usual black and white scheme, with a "teeth" pattern running along the toe. The partnership is noted on the tongue, pull-tab, heel and midsole. The Neighborhood x adidas NMD release hasn't been confirmed, but we'll follow up with a release date when (or if) it's announced. Take a look at the collaboration above.

There's a New Way to Sell Used Sneakers?!?!

While sneaker consignment stores are a fine place to turn coveted footwear into cash, the biggest names in the business usually only deal in brand new shoes. That is the case no longer for New York City's Flight Club, which announced via email on Wednesday that it will accept used pairs. Flight Club accepted used sneakers for consignment when it first opened 12 years ago, but hasn't done so for some time now. For now, Flight Club's used consignment program is only available to select sellers that the store contacted via email. Based on that message, the process sounds the same as the regular one for consigning shoes at the store, except that mail-ins aren't currently accepted and sellers must drop off their shoes in person. Also, Flight Club's announcement says that used pairs should be "like new" or "lightly worn."

Ewing Athletics x Mike Likes It Ice Cream 33 Hi

Ewing Athletics returns with a brand new 33 Hi following its July 4th Stars and Stripes rendition. The new 33 Hi is a collaboration between the brand and New York City ice cream stalworth Mikey Likes It Ice Cream. Draped in the signature royal blue hue of Mikey’s brand, the sneaker is constructed from premium suede and leather while metal accents represent the steel ice cream scoopers used to serve the delectable treats. “Southern Hospitality,” Mikey’s most beloved flavor gets a picture on the insole while a transparent sole is meant to convey social consciousness through transparent communication. Mikey even created a custom flavor called “Patrick Chewing” for the occasion. Head over to one of two locations on August 12th to enjoy some Patrick Chewing ice cream and pick up your pair.

LeBron James Will Produce a Sneaker Store Comedy for HBO

HBO and SpringHill Entertainment, a production house owned by LeBron James and his business partner Maverick Carter, have reached a development deal on a comedy series surrounding a sneaker store. As reported by Nellie Andreeva of Deadline, the untitled half-hour single-camera comedy will be written by Shawn Wines of HBO’s High Maintenance and Lemon Andersen. As for the story, it “centers on two best friends and their wild employees at an up-and-coming sneaker shop outside L.A., where they take on the insane and obsessive world of sneaker culture.” Sounds a bit like How to Make It in America, no? As you should know, LeBron and Maverick are no strangers to sneaker culture. His signature shoe with Nike aside, LeBron is a co-owner of Miami sneaker boutique UNKNWN, and Maverick sits on the advisory board of the KITH brand, which is news to some of us. There’s no word on when we may see this project come to fruition, if it ever will, but we should at least see a pilot episode at some point in the near future. Be sure to check back for more on LeBron’s latest euro-step into Hollywood.

adidas Y-3 Kozoko Low "Black Olive"

The adidas Y-3 Kozoko Low “Black Olive” is now available at select adidas retailers and online stores for $350 USD.

BAPE Brings Back the BAPE STA Low in OG Colorways

In the early 2000s, BAPE‘s now iconic BAPESTA silhouette could be found gracing everyone from Kanye West to Pharrell, even appearing in Soulja Boy Tell’em’s “Crank That” music video along with the line, “Haters get mad ‘cus, I got me some Bathin’ Apes.” So to the delight of many fans, the Japanese stalwart will be releasing the BAPE STA Low in three OG colorways including a primary red, blue and yellow make; dark and tan brown mixed in with pink; and the “Olive Drab” which sees grey, green and orange. The BAPE STA Low hits BAPE retailers and BAPE’s online store this Saturday, August 12th for a retail price of $258 USD.

UNDEFEATED x Nike Air Max 97 Collaboration

UNDEFEATED is collaborating with Nike Sportswear on an Air Max 97 that combines elements of the iconic sneaker boutique with the global cultural influence of the running silhouette. UNDFTD’s design features a black base with patent leather mudguards, red and green tracks that may represent the Air Max 97’s prevalence in Italy, and UNDEFEATED branding on red stripe, insole, and tongue pull-tab. This is the first such Air Max 97 collaboration we’ve seen this year, so this may open the doors for more collaborative releases through the rest of the year. A release date isn’t known just yet, but the shop is likely to reveal soon.

Rumored Release: Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG "Shadow"

The Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Shadow” has once again been thrust into the spotlight, although, not for reasons we were hoping for. Following its re-release back in 2013, rumors were quick to circulate towards the tail end of 2016, as the old school hoops classic was believed to make yet another comeback this year. Despite the AJ1 model having undergone several reworks over the past year alone, Jordan Brand recently squashed all rumors of the “Shadow” versions release, leaving many to question the motive behind it all. Clad in a somber black/grey tonal combo, it appears as though the coveted rendition may get another drop date sometime next year. Set to retail for $160 USD, Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Shadow” is said to drop in May of 2018.

Towards the end of the video, Drizzy then showed off a pair of new Tokyo 5s, an alternate to the “Tokyo23″ which graces a black midsole as opposed to the white midsole on the released version. Foot Locker - "Make an Impression" feat. DeMarcus Cousins & Ndamukong Suh

DeMarcus Cousins and Ndamukong Suh don’t necessarily have the best of reputations in their respective leagues. DeMarcus has been near or at the top of the NBA’s leaderboard for technical fouls the past couple of seasons while Ndamukong has been labeled as a dirty player with some questionable hits that tend to be labeled as cheap or dirty. Footlocker got both guys to open up about their reputations in their latest “First Impressions” video spot for the back-to-school season, but both were too focused on their perceived ill-will to notice what was going on around them for a bit of irony. Watch the humorous video above.

adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 "Blue Tint"

Kanye West was spotted wearing the Semi-Frozen Yellow colorway of his adidas Yeezy slated to release this Holiday 2017 season, but there’s another colorway on the horizon for those of you who aren’t feeling that Volt-esque vibrant offering. Today we get the best look yet at the adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 Blue Tint set for December 2017 featuring an updated Primeknit pattern with Blue Tint threads paired with what the three stripes are calling “Grey Three” shades. NYC-based art collective and DJ crew Been Trill, co-founded by Virgil Abloh, Matthew Williams, and Heron Preston, have collaborated with Hong Kong-based retailer D-Mop for a “Space Punk”-themed collection. Preserving Been Trill’s signature melting logo, astronomical and extraterrestrial motifs are printed or embroidered onto pieces such as coach and bomber jackets, T-shirts, and hoodies mainly in pink, black, white, and grey hues. The combination of spatial graphics and pastel backdrops create trippy illustration that calls for the name of this collection. The D-Mop x Been Trill “Space Punk” Collection drops August 11th at select D-Mop retailers in Hong Kong.
