Nike’s Latest Addition to the Kyrie 3 Family Sports a Familiar Face

Trade rumours continue to swirl around Kyrie Irving, but that hasn’t stopped the runaway success of Nike’s Kyrie 3 shoe. The player was recently in Asia completing a tour with the sportswear company when he was gifted with a pair of the shoes sporting an image of the in-demand NBA player’s face on the tongue in place of the usual branded logo. The shoe uses a variety of colors which, put together in a mismatched manner, gives it a distinct patchwork-effect finish. There’s no word on whether these shoes will ever see the light of day in general release but we’ll sure to let you know if they do.

Reggie Miller's Nike Air Money Sneakers Return

Remember the Nike Air Money Lo from 1996 made famous by players like Reggie Miller? A few new pairs of the shoe surfacing on social media via unexpected sources suggest that the model will be back soon. Exclusive Nike Air Monies were given to Viceland duo and Twitter superstars Desus and Mero, along with producer 9th Wonder. Their pairs are decorated with special embroidery along the lace shroud that won't make it to a retail release if one materializes. It's worth noting that these versions of the sneaker are different from the originals. Based on the angles offered via Instagram posts on the sneakers, this Nike Air Money retro looks to have ditched its original tooling for that of the Nike Air More Uptempo. What's more, the new design has a removable lace shroud.

Joel Embiid Will Wear Big Baller Brand on One Condition

In a brief interview with TMZ, Embiid says that he would wear the Big Baller Brand ZO2 on court this season under one condition: He wants LaVar to pay him $1 billion. This is clearly a troll referencing LaVar requesting $1 billion sneaker deals from brands like Nike and Adidas for his son Lonzo leading up the 2017 NBA Draft. Embiid's original response to the question, when he replied with "Shit, nothing," was probably a more honest one. This is the latest in a line of jabs on social media from Embiid towards the Ball family. Embiid received a $10,000 fine for his F-bomb directed towards the father of the Lakers point guard earlier this month in an Instagram video.

Nike Let an 18-Year-Old Design This Shoe

Each piece of the upper uses its own material with unique details including a split toe box, reflective Nike swoosh by the toe, reflective Basement logo on the heel, leather tongue tag, waxed laces, and gum bottoms. "When designing the shoe, we made each panel a different material to represent the diversity within our community," Pacitti told Nike. Check out more photos of the upcoming collaboration, after the jump.

These are likely not to release to the public, but look out for the Air Money Retro as well as the refreshed model to come back this year.

Kyrie Irving’s name has been all over the headlines throughout the weekend due to the sudden and surprising trade request he apparently made last week. The Cavs star point guard has yet to comment on the matter because he’s currently occupied with his massive Asia tour with Nike Basketball, where he visited Tokyo, Taipei, Beijing, and soon Manila. He kicked off the trip by showing off a “Yeezy” inspired colorway of his Kyrie 3 shoe that featured yin-yang style color-blocking, and for a limited time Nike is making that color-block option available on NIKEiD in Asia. You can purchase the same colorway as is, or alter it to your liking here.

Ronaldo Debuts New Self-Lacing Nikes

There aren't too many athletes on Nike's roster that have better access to exclusive styles than Cristiano Ronaldo. He's proven that again this week with the debut of a never-before-seen colorway of the HyperAdapt 1.0. During his current tour in China with Nike, Ronaldo wore what looks like a black and red version of the self-lacing shoe. The brand hasn't done much to highlight his wearing of the sneaker, although Nike PR director Heidi Burgett did provide the below on-feet shot via Twitter that offers a decent look, after the jump.

To my fans : The "Parallels" are finally dropping August 24th. PUMAXO... Let's GO

Canadian singer The Weeknd has finally confirmed a release date for his first signature shoe with Puma, writing on social media that the model is releasing on Aug. 24th. The silhouette, called the PUMA Parallel, has a high cut that blurs the line between a traditional sneaker and boot. The Weeknd has been wearing these on tour as of late, so images of the sneakers have already circulated online. While this is the first proper signature for the XO label head, PUMA's put him in a number of campaigns for other models since signing him in 2016.

Norse Projects x adidas Consortium Collaboration

adidas Consortium and Norse Projects have teamed up to create a new dual-branded “Layers” collection, a capsule range consisting of two shoes in total, the Campus 80s PK and the Terrex Agravic. The latter is rarely featured on these pages, with its last appearance being a small mention in a Y-3 Sport interview back in 2016. The Terrex Agravic is a shoe designed for the outdoors, however, making it particularly apt for this collection, a collaboration inspired by the coastal cliffs of the Danish Islands, specifically Fur and Møn. The Campus 80s PK uses a prime knit upper alongside a flexible neoprene tongue and standard campus outsole, while the Terrex Agravic features a nylon ripstop upper with waterproof GORE-TEX lining and an outsole using rubber from German tyre company Continental with both shoes also feature distinct co-branding throughout. The adidas Consortium x Norse Projects “Layers” collection will be available on August 11th at Norse Projects stores and the brand’s web store.

Travis Scott Shares a Crazy Tour Story & the Inspirations Behind His Jordan Trunner Collab

Earlier this month, Travis Scott wore his first Jordan collaboration and even blessed one very lucky fan with his own personal pair of sneakers. Known as the Trunner “Cactus Jack,” the shoe served as the follow-up to the “Royal” makeover of the aforementioned Jordan sneaker. Now, the “Butterfly Effect” artist has linked up with Nike to open up about his new shoes, the motivations behind it, some of the “craziest” things he has seen at shows and more.”I didn’t want to do anything traditional. I’ve never seen the Trunner with so many colors on it,” Travis explains. I wanted something different; to see that model differently.” As far as the “craziest thing that has ever happened at a gig wearing J’s,” the Birds in the Trap rapper shares: “I would say it was at a show I did in Portland. I had everyone raise their shoes up and I gave a pair of my AJ4s I was wearing off my feet to a kid who I thought had the best Jordans.” You can check out Travis Scott’s entire interview with Nike here.

As various images of the Off-White™ x Air Jordan 1 have surfaced with many receiving special friends and family pairs, it’s only a matter of time before a potential launch date surfaces. The Original 1989 Nike MAGs to be Auctioned Off

In November of last year, the last auctioned Nike MAGs went for a staggering $200,000 USD. The power-laced sneaker mimicked the 2011 recreation of the famous retro-futuristic sneakers that Michael J. Fox‘s character Marty McFly wore in Back to the Future II. Now, the original movie-worn sneakers from 1989 are up for auction at Comic-Con. While the original Nike MAGs are definitely more run-down than the 2016 recreations, the pair is a one-of-a-kind piece of sneaker and pop culture history.

One of Michael Jordan's Personal Friends Is Auctioning Off His Amazing Memorabilia Collection

An old friend of Michael Jordan is looking to cash-in on all the memorabilia he’s collected from the hall-of-fame player over the years, but for a good cause. Meet Bill Schmidt, the retired VP of Marketing of Gatorade who’s been sitting on a small fortune’s worth of Michael Jordan game-worn sneakers, jerseys, and other collectibles that were gifted to him by MJ over a span of a decade. “I turn 70 at the end of the year and I'm in good health, knock on wood. If something happens to me, I don't know what they are going to do with this stuff,” Schmidt Says. “Somebody else can enjoy it. It would afford me the opportunity to take care of some other people and other causes as opposed to donating the shoes or whatever. They'll probably benefit more from the financial side of things.” You can view Bill Schmidt's full collection up for auction at Steiner Sports here.

Nike SF-AF1 Mid "Hazel"

Supposedly due out back in June, the kicks never made their way to Nike Sportswear spots, much to the chagrin of those who missed out on the shoe’s debut tiger camo-covered release. Thankfully, however, the shoes are slated to officially drop later this month, next week, in fact. Marked by a monochromatic black upper of ballistic nylon and tumbled leather (with a matching strap and buckle to boot), the zippered design comes complete with a contrasting brown-colored sole unit. Finally, white text graces the upper as per usual. The SF-AF1 “Hazel” will hit select Nike Sportswear retailers next Wednesday, July 26th, for $160 USD.

Nike HyperFam Collection

The Swoosh embraces basketball culture outside of professional leagues, especially during the summer offseason. As the Hyperdunk 2017 continues to be revealed in numerous colorways, the model will usher in an interesting selection gaining inspiration from basketball’s global capitals of New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Manila, Beijing and Madrid. The forthcoming HyperFam Collection kicks things off with its New York theme hosting a blueprint styled city map across its upper using basketball lines. Next up is the previously teased Los Angeles pair which has special nods to the city’s beautiful scenery and highly competitive Drew League. Chicago’s design highlights the importance of taking advantage of all opportunities with the calling FINAO (Failure Is Not An Option). This phrase honors the late Saieed Ivery, a Simeon High School graduate who unfortunately passed away in 2016. Nike Basketball’s HyperFam Collection begins its rollout today and will continue until early August with specific launch dates listed on Nike’s official website.

Nike Air Force 1 Low "Jones Beach"

First seeing the light of day back in 2009, the Nike Air Force 1 Low “Jones Beach” made its mark by paying tribute to New York’s popular Long Island destination. Kanye West Debuts New Yeezys

While there's still little information out about Kanye West's upcoming Yeezy Runner, the shoes continue to appear on the feet of the entertainer-turned-designer. The latest colorway he's donned is a triple black pair that looks to be the same one spotted at his Yeezy Season 5 show in February. This design stands out from the rest of West's Adidas shoes in that it clearly isn't in the lineage of his Yeezy Boosts and it's not a straight retro like the Calabasas Powerphase. While it is a new silhouette, it's more retro-leaning than the futuristic Yeezy Boost models, Take a look above.
