Man Steals 800 Pairs of Sneakers from Nike Outlet Store in Portland

According to KRON 4, 52-year-old Kelvin Torain Millage is accused of stealing approximately 800 pairs from the Nike Factory Store Store in Northeast Portland. With a retail value of more than $5,000, the thief admitted to police that he would steal shoes to fund his drug habit. The stark admission came after Millage was identified as the suspect through the store's surveillance footage and subsequently arrested with three bindles of heroin in his possession.

PORTLAND, OR ( KOIN) - A 52-year-old man, who has 23 felony convictions, is now accused of stealing more than $5,000 from the Nike Outlet store in Northeast Portland. Kelvin Torain Millage told detectives that he is drug addicted and steals the shoes to sell them on the streets, according to court documents.
