New Balance's Tokyo Design Studio Resurrects the ML2016
Designed by the brand’s Tokyo Design Studio, the silhouette was the perfect contemporary nod to the 1500, 1400, 998, 996, and 580 that had come before it. And though 2016 may be behind us, the shoe, thankfully, hasn’t been forgotten as NB has resurrected the design in two new colorways. Echoing the construction of the original black colorway, these eschew the suede that marked the black and grey ML2016CB and instead sport premium leather in smooth, tumbled, and perforated varieties. Dressed in tan and white, the two pairs come complete with white ABZORB-cushioned midsoles and gum rubber outsoles.
