Hood By Air Cancels FW17 Paris Fashion Week Show

Something fishy is going down at the house of Hood By Air. Just this weekend, we received a rather abrupt email from the brand’s PR stating that the show, which was scheduled for Sunday, March 5 during Paris Fashion Week, had been cancelled due to “unforeseen circumstances". This marks the second schedule change for the brand this fashion month, as they were actually meant to show during New York Fashion Week, but opted instead to show in Paris just a few weeks before the Big Apple’s circuit.

Hood By Air Cancels Paris Show for Women's RTW

OFF THE CALENDAR: Hood By Air has cancelled its runway show during Paris Fashion Week, the contemporary streetwear brand designed by Shayne Oliver said Monday. "Due to unforeseen circumstances, we inform you that the fall-winter 2017 Hood By Air show scheduled on Sunday, 5 March 2017 is cancelled," a statement from the brand said.

Pharrell x adidas NMD HU Stan Smith

Pharrell is taking up the iconic adidas Stan Smith tennis model for inspiration on his latest collaborative effort with the three stripes, as the Pharrell x adidas NMD HU will debut this Spring 2017 season featuring a classic combination of pearl white and classic green in modernized form for the perfect lifestyle selection. Expect this offering to be rather limited, and note that this isn’t your traditional adidas NMD offering either. Instead, the woven Primeknit upper features a brand new midsole and outsole unit with absolutely no trace of Boost technology. Instead, diamond-esque cutouts form an intricate pattern on the midsole while a unique insole shows a diagram of the foot with a Chinese pressure point map. Check out a first look after the jump.

adidas Ultra Boost ST "Grey/Navy-Pink"

Always overshadowed by the standard adidas Ultra Boost, the Ultra Boost ST designed to offer runners more stability is still a great performance-meets-casual sneaker in its own right. Case in point: this new colorway featuring a clean blend of grey and navy Primeknit up top with a pop of hot pink for the medial support walls on the Boost midsole to combat over-pronation during your run. With no hype or fanfare, the Ultra Boost ST is an easy pick-up available at adidas Running retailers now.

Air Jordan 4 Retro "Pure Money"

The clean white “Pure Money” colorway of the Air Jordan 4 is coming back, and it looks like it will have all the details from the last time it released in 2006. The crispy all white leather upper; the chrome accents; and one special touch you might not even have know was on the original version, “PURE $” embroidered tonally on the inside of the heel tabs. See the proof after the jump, and don’t forget to mark the May 13th release date on your calendar if you’re after a pair.

New Balance 247 Classic Collection

Keeping things simple and stylish to drive home the shoe’s ethos of everyday wearability, New Balance presents the hot new silhouette in some classic tones associated with any number of New Balance running shoes throughout the years. Of course, no shade is more iconic on a pair of classic suede and mesh New Balance sneakers than grey, which highlights this collection also including standard colorways in navy, black, and white. Similar to the construction of the Sport version, the 247 Classic features a mesh toe with synthetic nubuck on the midfoot and heel paneling, finished with a stretchy neoprene collar and tongue for foot-hugging comfort. The New Balance 247 Classic collection arrives at finer New Balance retailers globally and NewBalance.com on March 4th.

Sneaker Shopping w/ Chad "Ochocinco" Johnson

It's been many months since the release of the "Chef Curry" Under Armour sneakers and the takes are still rolling in. During the latest episode of Sneaker Shopping from Complex, guest Chad "Ochocinco" Johnson cites the shoes as a low point in signature sneaker history.

"Based on the type of player he is, everything has to flow," Johnson says. "That didn't flow with who he was at the time and still is."

Customers Are Receiving Moldy Air Jordans From Nike

In recent years, numerous Nike and Air Jordan releases have been scrapped or delayed due to problems with mold growing on the sneakers during transit. Perhaps the same should have been done for this past weekend's "True Red" Air Jordan 13 Retro release. Multiple shoppers have come forward with mold-ridden pairs of the retro Jordans that were purchased from Nike.com. Photos shared show the sneakers covered in mold, some pairs worse than others. In a few instances, the leather is warped, likely a result of the presence of moisture. Some buyers, such as Instagram user @tl_yo, have had trouble contacting Nike to correct the issue. However, the Nikestore Twitter account has been providing assistance to those with complaints. Take a look below.

Ex-Nike Employee Auctioning Original Jordans to Protest Trump

After receiving the shoes from a longtime family friend and tucking them away in his collection for a couple years, Nguyen-Long is selling this Air Jordan relic on eBay and donating the proceeds. He hopes to sell the shoes for around $2,000 and split the money up, sending some money to organizations like the ACLU in protest of President Trump. Nguyen-Long got the shoes from Roseann Yeagley, his mother's college roommate. He and his family visited Yeagley in Delaware in 2013 and the topic of Nike came up. In that conversation, Yeagley casually mentioned that she had a pair of sneakers she'd bought for her son when he was in high school still laying around decades after the purchase. A year later, she sent Nguyen-Long the shoes in the mail. "A FedEx time capsule of basketball and sneaker history," is how he described the shoes in a Facebook post.

Nike Zoom KD 9 Elite

Earlier this month, Kevin Durant laced up a modified take on his signature KD 9 and now we finally have a proper look at the Elite kicks. More than likely the design Durant will don throughout the upcoming NBA Playoffs, the Zoom KD 9 Elite retains the general aesthetic and full-length Zoom cushioning of the original, but extends the collar, which now appears in a thin stretch fabric instead of Engineered Mesh, skyward a bit while employing thick Dyanmic Flywire cables throughout. If you take a look at the heel of the shoe, you’ll notice the Flywire even extends all the way around the ankle (beneath the thin fabric) for improved support and stability. Though Nike has yet to officially announce the Zoom KD 9 Elite, the Dark Grey/Sail-Hyper Jade version of the kicks are listed as a February 23rd release.
