When Shaquille O’Neal entered the NBA in 1992 after being taken first in the draft a few months prior, he was an unstoppable force too big and too strong for anyone to manage. Reebok would have the honors of producing his first signature shoe. They shattered the proverbial backboard with the Shaq Attaq release that same year. The shoe is returning this weekend in its OG colorway in celebration of the model’s 25th anniversary. Designed by Judy Close, the imposing silhouette was crafted not only as a popular basketball shoe for the masses, but one that needed to fit the performance specifications of one of the most dominant athletes any sport had ever seen. This Friday, January 20th, the Reebok Shaq Attaq OG will be available at select Reebok retailers globally and online at Reebok.com.
