adidas Announces Its Design Academy Program*~

German sportswear giant adidas is offering a 24-month design program. The aptly-titled adidas Design Academy will offer courses in graphic, footwear, and apparel design to applicants and candidates located in either the U.S. or Germany. The program offers aspiring creators and designers the opportunity to make their own contributions and inventions in the realm of design. The Three Stripes is even offering up the possibility of employment at the end of the program. The application deadline is March 6, while the programs start this summer on June 1. New York Times T Magazine sat down with Belgian designer Raf Simons to talk about his past and his future. The article dives into the designer’s past and background, his time at Dior, his departure from Dior and more importantly about his exciting future with his namesake menswear label. Simons has changed the face of menswear over the last two decades and we cannot wait to see what he will do for menswear, now that he gets to focus on it. Simons talks about not being too obsessed with fashion before entering school in Antwerp. Art is what ultimately brought him to fashion and if he could chose today, as you can see in the below video.

Nike Pushes Innovation Limits With Upcoming KD8 Elite*~

Nike is giving the lengthy superstar a creative upgrade to his current on court model. Currently averaging 27.9 points, 8.1 rebounds and 4.6 assist per game, the Swoosh aims to make sure that their star is outfitted with top of the line technology for his eighth signature sneaker. In this teaser image, we get a pretty good feel of what these will look like, with an all-red look covering the entire upper and midsole. The upper features faux croc embossing, while the look is finished off with the Question's trademark icy blue outsole.

Gosha Rubchinskiy Teams Up with Reebok on the Phase One Pro*~

Russian designer Gosha Rubchinskiy and Reebok are making over the Workout Plus for the Fall/Winter 2016 season, but, before that, the two have come together to drop a special take on the Phase One Pro. Keeping the OG silhouette intact, Rubchinskiy’s takes on the old school kicks come in white, grey and black, all of which are highlighted with bold orange embroidery along the heel. All three colorways will be available from Dover Street Market starting this Tuesday, March 1st.

This Year's "Space Jam" Air Jordan 11 May Be A Little Different Than You Remember*~

As confirmed earlier this week, the "Space Jam" Air Jordan 11 is being re-released this holiday season. Not coincidentally, the shoe returns as the movie celebrates its 20th Anniversary. Twitter user @_PO2345 reports that Jordan's PE is being sourced for the remastered release. For those who may not remember, the original pair featured concord Jumpman branding hits, which were replaced by royal blue on the 2000 retro. No other details have been disclosed.

Surveillance Footage Captured Suspects Stealing $7k Worth of Sneakers From a Houston Store*~

Khou.com reports that two burglars used a crow bar to break into the Houston sneaker shop in the early hours of the morning, and stashed $7,000 worth of Nike, Air Jordan, and Diadora sneakers into trash bags. In addition to the sneakers, the suspects also made off with $1,000 worth of clothing. Losing that many sneakers would break most people's spirits, but Jones is not letting this kill his dream. “It's not going to stop me at all. Not at all. To do this right now is my dream. So I'm not going to let nothing stop me from doing this." We hope that the people responsible for this are brought to justice, and that the shop is back up and running soon.

Michael Jordan's Son Is Opening a Sneaker Store at Disney World*~

Michael Jordan's son, Marcus Jordan, had announced that he was going to open his own sneaker shop, Trophy Room, and now there's clear picture of where it's going to be located. Marcus went to social media to announce that his store will open be apart of the Disney Springs shopping plaza at Disney World in Florida.

The ASICS Gel-Lyte V is taking a break from its collaborative slate for a couple of in-house colorways that are rather familiar. Utilizing premium shades of an obsidian-like “Legion Blue” and burnt orange, this Gel-Lyte V shines by simply inverting the upper for a unique “Home” and “Away” vibe. The usual suspects are in play here in terms of materials, as a bolstered mesh adds some breathability to each silhouette while premium suede hits the side panels to offset a sport neoprene slip-on construction. Nike Drapes the Air Presto GPX in a “Pixel” Pattern*~

The Nike Air Presto GPX is rendered in a new “Pixel” colorway for the upcoming season. The silhouette is coming off a revitalized year and has already made a strong impression to start 2016, with the release of a “Tropical” edition, the most recent addition to the GPX range. This “Pixel” iteration shares its predecessor’s penchant for strong graphic employment, with a repeating square pattern displayed across the entirety of the Presto’s upper. BILLY’S ENT Applies Japanese-Style Art on Vans’ Slip-On*~

Japanese sneaker retailer BILLY’S ENT has teamed up with Vans for a store-exclusive edition of the Slip-On silhouette. A number of Japanese traditions and techniques find themselves crossing paths: first with the adoption of indigo textiles and, secondly, with the implementation of classic ukiyo-e art on the upper, as done by Kyoto design studio GARAGELAND. The collaboration will arrive at all BILLY’S ENT retail locations come mid-March, but will see a first release at the Osaka flagship on February 27.

The OVO x Air Jordan 12 Will Release This Summer #AllSummer6ixteen*~

Drake’s OVO and Jordan Brand are getting ready to continue their successful collaboration this summer. The next sneaker to release is the OVO x Air Jordan 12 Retro in white. First previewed in 2014, the high top basketball shoe comes with hints of stingray leather, setting a nice contrast to the otherwise premium white leather upper and gold accents. A release date has not been announced yet, but the Air Jordan 12 OVO “White” is supposed to drop some time Summer 2016. Stay tuned.

Jordan Brand is getting ready to release one of the most premium versions of the popular Air Jordan 4 Retro yet. The Air Jordan 4 Pinnacle comes with an all black upper, made up of premium leather, reptile skin and pony hair. The result is a luxurious version of the iconic basketball shoe, sitting on a clean black mid-sole and contrasting white outer sole. There's a Girl's Exclusive Air Jordan XI Dropping This Holiday Season*~

Not only are the "Space Jam" Air Jordan XIs set to make a return this holiday season, but Jordan Brand will also be extending some love to the ladies with the first ever girl's exclusive version of the Air Jordan XI. Although there have been a handful of girl's Air Jordan XI Lows in the past, this will be the first time Jordan Brand has given the girl's only treatment to the O.G. Mid silhouette. There aren't many other details available at this point, so you'll have to use your imagination in regards to the colorway, but we do know that these will be dropping this December.
