The main round of auto-lacing Nike Mag auctions raised a reported $6.75 million for Parkinson's research. Last night, Nike and the Michael J. Fox foundation were able to push that number even higher. At the foundation's annual gala, Nike Mag designer Tinker Hatfield and Senior Innovator Tiffany Beers were in attendance to not only show their support for their friend Michael J. Fox, but to auction off the final pair of Mags. By night's end, the highly coveted sneakers originally worn by Fox's character Marty McFly in Back to the Future II went for a whopping $200,000, the most paid for a pair of Mags to date.
