When she's not making you laugh, YouTube sensation Lilly Singh is looking for a cool pair of sneakers that complement her exuberant personality. Nike follows up the LeBron 12 and adds yet another tally to James’ phenomenally successful signature sneaker line with the LeBron 13. Outlining the shoe’s key design features, the Swoosh highlights the breathable, sock-like fit, the Hyperposite material and the Zoom Air cushioning unit. The last feature specifically sees improvement via four Zoom Air units in the outsole, two of which are 13 millimeters thick, larger than those in the LeBron 12 in total volume. Disney and Vans have unveiled the first of three capsule footwear offerings titled “101 Dalmatians.” As the name already hints, this capsule footwear range sees Vans’ iconic Sk8-Hi Reissue and Authentic silhouette’s done up in a 101 Dalmatians-themed print, with the former rendered in a off-white/beige colorway and the latter seen in a vibrant red colorway. PUMA is set to introduce a “Felt” take on the Disc Blaze next month. Available in both black and “Potting Soil Brown,” the design sees the silhouette with a fuzzy felt upper and leather overlay. pairing the look with tonal pull tabs, a white Trinomic midsole and gum rubber outsole. In celebration of London sneaker culture and to celebrate the one year anniversary of the adidas Originals store in Fouberts Place, adidas is releasing a special London exclusive Tubular Runner Primeknit. This special Tubular features a combination of black and olive colors which are incorporated into the Primeknit as well as the marble finish on the outsole. Vans Vault announces its new collection with the unveiling of the remastered OG Slip-On 59 LX silhouette. A faithful reconstruction of the iconic original, the slip-on features a premium black sued upper accented, white full-grain leather detailing to the heel, a vulcanized rubber midsole, and waffle outsole. Partnering with storied retailer Barneys, Filling Pieces is offering up five pairs of special collaborative sneakers for a capsule collection. The collection is made in association with Barneys “BNY Sole Series,” in which the retailer taps various footwear staples to create special shoes for the series. Previous BNY Sole Series participants include adidas with a special Stan Smith, and Vans which premium checkerboard slip-ons. adidas Originals has just dropped their latest addition to the ZX Flux family. The sneaker features a subtle take on the always on-trend camouflage print, in neutral hemp tones appearing across the shoe’s upper, Three Stripe branding and molded heel cage. Barcelona is the capital of Spain's Catalonia region and the collab pays tribute to its castells, the Catalonian word for castles. But it's not the castles that most of us are familiar with. It's actually refers to the region's tradition of erecting human towers. It's one of the more unique subjects to have ever served as inspiration for a collaboration. Created on Diadora's N.9000, the project has been dubbed "Castellers," which is what you call the people that take part in the human tower process. The shoe's color story, which featues a mint forefoot, black midfoot with light tan accents and a playful hit of a red-based polka dot print, seems to have been derived directly from the costumes worn castellers. The collab is set to hit retail beginning this Saturday, September 26th.
Officially, Nike made the announcement on its NikeStore Europe account, so there's a chance that U.S. heads might be left out. We're keeping our fingers crossed that this won't be the case. As far as the iD options, exact colors weren't specified, but you can gather a few of them based on the monochromatic examples shared. Some of the treatments that will be available include the choice of different fabric uppers and the ability to upgrade the shoe's plastic cage to a metallic one. Last, but certainly not least, fans will also have the choice to add embroidery to the Presto's toe, though no further details were given as to what type of designs would be included. Memphis' WREG News Channel 3 reports 20-year-old Markell Fossett, a former Nike store employee, was arrested after Nike's Asset Protection Investigator contacted local authorities to inform them that Fossett confessed to the crime. Fossett told the investigator that he began stealing from the shop as soon as he started working there in February 2015 until his termination in June 2015. His method of stealing involved stuffing sneakers down his pants, one at a time, and then dropping them off in his car. Fossett he did his three times a day during his employment and Nike estimates it lost 205 pairs of sneakers valued at $9,225.
The newest athlete to receive the honor of their own signature sneaker line from Nike is Victor Cruz of the New York Giants. While images of the shoe have been leaked online in previous months, this is the first official look at the silhouette, which has been rendered in a minimal black-and-white palette with hits of orange on the Swoosh and lining, and a white Air midsole with orange speckles. Prominent features of the Air Trainer lookalike include the leather-clad straps over the vamp and heel, as well as the pyramid-shaped molds covering the rear half of the design. A translucent grey outsole and reflective finishes on the strap edges and tongue finish off the first of its line, which will retail for $145 USD.
New Balance goes back to basics with this two-piece pack for the fall, titled the '90s Running Solids pack. The silhouette in question is the M530, the upper of which has been rendered in a base of perforated pig suede with tonal leather paneling throughout. Meanwhile, the leather branding on the lateral side and embroidered on the tongue remain white in solidarity with the ENCAP midsole, and a gum rubber outsole provides the finishing touch to this dependable silhouette. Back when Peter Jansson and Erik Fagerlind started Sneakersnstuff in the late ’90s, the two Swedes used to travel to New York, scouring the city for sneakers they couldn’t find in Europe before bringing them back to Stockholm to sell in their store.
