PUMA unveils four new iterations of its Suede Courtside silhouette as part of its “Perf” pack. The minimal shoe is given a clean solid color treatment in red, grey, navy and black colorways, with a unique perforated pattern along the suede upper and tonal laces throughout. Additional detailing is provided by custom-printed insoles and branding at the sidepanel, heel and tongue. All four colorways sit atop of a vulcanized sole and are available for purchase at KITH locations and KithNYC.com for $90 USD.
The upcoming Summer 2015 Jordan Brand retro releases are looking incredibly promising. Seen here in this preview of upcoming footwear is the Air Jordan 7 “Bordeaux”, Air Jordan 6 Low “Metallic”, and two all-new Air Jordan 9 colorways. The first is an all-black affair similar to the Oregon PEs that surfaced a few years ago, while the second pair makes use of a white upper with an olive midsole with speckle detailing. French sportswear brand le coq sportif explores their wilder side with the release of the Spring/Summer 2015 “Tropical” pack. The pack contains a mixture of athletic silhouettes and lifestyle models inspired by the flora of an island paradise. The brand has chosen to outfit their retro running shoes, like the LCS R1400 and the LCS R900, with a more blatant use of a floral print while other shoes, like the Arthur Ashe and Slip-On, are more subdued in their ways. The Spring/Summer 2015 “Tropical” pack is available in le coq sportif stores, online at lecoqsportif.com, and at select retailers.
For the celebration of the 25th birthday of the iconic Nike Air Max 90, the classic runner returns in its signature infrared colorway, adorned in a series of premium materials and finishes. The various versions of the Nike Air Max 90 will be releasing starting this Monday, March 30. The sneaker comes with a velvet upper, black snake upper, cork upper, silk paisley upper and various other special treatments. Look out for all of these to arrive at select retailers.
Jordan Brand will bring the Air Jordan 11's patent leather to the upper of the Air Jordan 4. The Air Jordan 11Lab4 has already been previewed in black from every angle, and now it will be joined by a red-based colorway. Leaked photos leave a lot to be desired, but they do seem to confirm what will surely be a popular release. Like the black pair, this 11LAB4 features a full patent upper, tonal branding and contrasting white midsole. Look for them to release in the near future.
The long-standing Supreme x Nike SB partnership will be tapped once more for this upcoming collection. The capsule uses the Nike GTS, a 90s model that's usually seen with a Nike Sportswear designation. It looks like there will be five colorways in total in the group: four solidly blocked canvas pairs and one washed denim look. The Supreme x Nike SB GTS collection should release in May and each shoe should be around $90 USD.
KITH first unleashed the two-piece collection upon the masses over in Japan by way of its “Tokyo Sakura Project”. Having set up a pop-up shop within United Arrows & Sons, Fieg took his NY-based KITH brand overseas to spread some fashionable love. Though the space was only open for a couple of days, the venture added yet another chapter to KITH’s growing profile. Running through every major hue on the color wheel, the Pharrell x adidas Superstar “Supercolor” Collection was certainly massive and colorful in every sense of the word. Comprised of 50 different releases, the huge collaborative grouping offered something for everyone to enjoy. While the entire heap of kicks were available through adidas’ online shop yesterday morning, sneakerheads who took to the streets in NYC, and hit the adidas Originals store in Soho, were out in full force to add a fresh new pair of Superstars to their collections. Nike is about to release its latest for the LeBron 12 line that takes heavy influence from yesteryear’s Nike Zoom Generation “Wheat,” an offering from The King that tilted heads within the sneaker world back in 2004. In this latest lifestyle rendition, the LeBron 12 EXT model gets an all-over tan treatment reminiscent of the Timberland boots, with metallic gold accents found on the swoosh. The Nike LeBron 12 EXT “Wheat” in Wheat/Wheat-Metallic Gold is set to release on April 4th with a price tag of $250 USD.
Originally helmed by Deion Sanders with its last iteration introduced in 1998. The sixth iteration in the series sees an updated interpretation of the original Turf, with the leather on the upper replaced with synthetics and mesh except on the strap. Flywire has also been incorporated into the silhouette for extra support, as well as a back-loaded Max Air for sole support. The release was surprisingly under-the-radar, with the shoes showing up in Black/Chilling Red and Black/White-Hyper Punch-Volt retailing for $140 USD.
London’s Soho neighborhood welcomes a new flagship space for Billionaire Boys Club/Ice Cream. The new boutique carries over nicely from the pre-existing retailers in New York and Tokyo, all of which were designed by architecture firm Wonderwall. The usual array of BBC/Ice Cream goods will be available at the London space, alongside exclusive Pharrell collaborations alongside adidas and COMME des GARÇONS. Locals will be glad to hear that a select assortment of London-branded goods will also see availability.
Nike has just dropped off a new spring-proper colorway of the Air Huarache Run especially for the ladies. The kicks boast a teal upper, which has been done up in leather and synthetic materials. Tonal laces are present, as a white midsole provides contrast underneath. Additionally, purple branding can be seen at the tongue. The Nike Air Huarache Run “Light Retro” is now available at select retailers for approximately $130 USD.
As sneakerheads eagerly await 2015's Nike Mag release, two artists have teamed up for a limited pin collection that might be as close as any of us come to owning a pair. Crafted by artists SneakerToons and Prez_one, this three pin set is hand finished and numbered 1-50. It includes a lifelike rendering of the Nike Mag, the iconic Mattell hoverboard, and a "2015" pin stylized in the famous Back to the Future font. Although you can't wear them on your feet, these pins are a great way to rep your Mag fandom without going broke in the process. The SneakerToons x Prez_one Back to the Future pin badges release this Friday, March 27th.
Happy to see his alma mater back in the NCAA Tournament's Sweet 16, Michael Jordan and the Jordan Brand just issued an exclusive Air Jordan XX9 to members of the North Carolina basketball team. Making use of the performance woven upper, the shoe bears a large rendition of the team's Rameses logo, UNC's official emblem from 1983 to 1998. The rest of the upper is styled in University Blue, with a navy blue midsole and white outsole capping off the look below.
In what should come as a surprise to nobody, the European release of the adidas Yeezy Boost is causing some trouble. The sneaker will release both in-store and online tomorrow, March 26th, via European Foot Locker locations, and stores already have some unruly crowds gathering outside them. Videos captured from a Foot Locker in Paris show police dragging people off the scene, metal barricades set up, and a mass of people that in no way resembles an orderly line.

I happen to be watching re-runs of hit 90's Sitcom "Friends" and found this clip which totally makes sense now.
