Jordan Brand's Holiday 2015 Preview*~

As we get ready to enter the final month in the first quarter of 2015, we get a preview of what's to come this holiday season from Jordan Brand. Six sneakers have been unveiled, confirming some rumors swirling around as well as adding a couple new ones into the mix. Each of these six pairs have also been "Remastered", a first for the Jordan 8 and 14. While no release dates are confirmed at this time, expect to see the sneakers below begin to release during Q4 of 2015, which is October through December. NFL Prospect Blows Opportunity at Winning $100,000 From adidas*~

As a new wave of NFL talent is set to take the league by storm, all of the major brands are looking for ways to lock down the NFL's future stars. Adidas came up with the idea that they would pay $100,000 to the three fastest 40-yard dash times, so long as the players followed two simple rules.

The first rule: Run the 40-yard dash in Adidas cleats. In the player's suite at the NFL combine, prospects are given the choice of Nike, Adidas, Under Armour, etc. So in order to be eligible, you must run at the combine wearing Adidas spikes.

The second rule: Sign a contract to endorse Adidas BEFORE running the 40.

Diadora Game L High*~

Diadora keeps impressing with their high-quality retro runners, and now they get into the vintage basketball models as well, dropping the Game L High. The Italian sneaker brand’s archival hoops shoe features a supple pebbled leather construction in white, accented with Red Pepper for a classic team shoe look. The Diadora Game L High is arriving now at Diadora retailers in the US.

WTF Moment: Man Traded Sneakers to Watch Sex Acts*~

According to, 30-year-old Curtis Thompson would contact male teens over the Internet under the alias "Kicks on a Bean" and bribe them with sneakers. In exchange, the underage participants would allow Thompson to watch the sex acts. This would all take place in Thompson's vehicle, which he also offered the teens to use as part of the deal. He is being charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, stemming from incidents last September and October.

Rip Hamilton Retires From NBA in True Sneakerhead Fashion*~

One of the most decorated athletes to represent the Air Jordan mantra has called it quits in a classic manner. NBA Champion and three-time All Star Richard “Rip” Hamilton appeared on ESPN’s His & Hers to announce his retirement from the NBA after 14 seasons. Having not set foot on the court since the 2012-2013 NBA season, the broadcast did not come as a surprise, however, Hamilton’s choosing to do so with the Don C x Air Jordan 2 sneakers laced around his neck served as an unforgettable final nod.

Counterfeit Sneakers worth $1 Million USD Seized and Destroyed in Philippines*~

The Bureau of Customs (BOC) in the Philippines has just taken an aggressive stance against the counterfeit sneaker game in its country by destroying more than 150,000 pairs of fake kicks. The batch included imitations of brands such as Nike, adidas, and Converse, and was valued at PH50M, or $1 million USD. According to Customs Commissioner John P. Sevilla, the goods were smuggled in from China early last year, and were discovered as being fraudulent when the owner failed to produce proof of payment of duties and taxes.

Kanye West Confirms Black Yeezy 750 Boosts on Power 105.1 Interview*~

As a guest on Power 105.1's The Breakfast Club, Kanye West talked with Angela Yee, Charlamagne and DJ Envy about his polarizing Adidas Yeezy 750 Boost and revealed that an all-black colorway is indeed in the works- though they won't be an easier to get your hands on. While Kanye previously went on the record as saying 'everybody who wants Yeezys will get Yeezys,' the initial launch indicated that his statements might not be entirely true.

“Yeah, I didn’t want them to be limited actually," West said in response to hearing aftermarket prices of the Yeezy Boost. "That’s something that the company did. I really want as many people to get them as possible. I don’t want the price to be $350. I don’t want to play this sneaker culture game where they be reselling them for high prices and stuff. I just want people to have what I made. Ain’t no limited release of the College Dropout."

Rumor Alert: Air Jordan XIV Low "Laney" to Return 2015?!?!*~

We've already learned that the "Chrome" Air Jordan 8s, along with the "Aqua" 8s and a new-look pair of 11's will be releasing later this year. If you're still not impressed with Jordan Brand's 2015 lineup, maybe this will sway you. As Jordan Brand celebrates their 30th anniversary, they have plans to re-release the rare, low-top "Laney" 14s- which will be a quickstrike release. The Air Jordan XIV Low "Laney", originally released back in 1999, as a nod to Michael Jordan's alma mater.

adidas Originals Spring 2015 Veritas Mid “Welded Mesh” Pack*~

adidas Originals will be releasing a new trio of the Veritas Mid. The “Welded Mesh” pack showcases the mid-top silhouette of course featuring singular mesh upper construction. The lightweight kicks are each offset by different-colored detailing on the outsole, tongue and back-strap, while tonal laces then accompany. Optioned in white, silver and black, you can look for the clean threesome to arrive at authorized adidas Originals retailers on March 1st.

NIKEiD Adds Pony Hair Option to the Roshe Run*~

NIKEiD is back this week with the launch of its brand new pony hair option for the popular Roshe Run. The faux pony hair option is available in overall four patterns: cheetah, leopard, zebra and spotted. Match up the pattern with a speckled or marbled mid-sole, as well as a colorful Swoosh option and you are ready for the coming summer months. The new NIKEiD pony hair option will officially launch February 23rd.

ASICS Gel Lyte V "Light Grey"*~

ASICS continues to churn out new renditions of its popular Gel Lyte V model. The latest iteration sees the Japanese shoemaker dress its fan favorite model in a monochromatic gray, with calculated uses of a contrasting white in the shoes’ detailing including its sole. The performance-tuned design features a perforated upper, constructed with top quality nubuck and leather. The sneakers are scheduled for release on March 1, and will retail for $148 USD.

NEIGHBORHOOD x adidas ZX 500 OG "R White/SupplierColour/Grey"*~

As part of Japanese contemporary staple NEIGHBORHOOD and German sportswear giant adidas' continued partnership, the two unveil a makeover of the popular ZX 500 OG model. The latest rendition sees the shoe clad in a premium leather upper, with NEIGHBORHOOD’s logo embossed at the heel of the popular adidas silhouette. Using a mix of white and grey, the sneaker present a viable option to accompany lighter hues in the warmer months. The shoes are available now at select retailers for $125 USD.

XLARGE x PUMA 2015 Spring/Summer Capsule Collection*~

Japanese streetwear brand XLARGE joins PUMA to produce an exclusive 2015 spring/summer capsule collection. Consisting of a collaborative take on the PUMA Suede in addition to the “T7″ track jacket, the limited-edition capsule collection combines XLARGE’s Japanese street aesthetic with PUMA’s well-known silhouettes to produce a minimal, yet refined offering. The collaborative Suede iteration features a black suede upper accented with a luxury scarf motif decorating the insole. A white midsole and camouflage outsole finishes the low-top silhouette. PUMA’s renowned “T7″ track jacket highlights XLARGE’s camouflage detailing along the sleeves as a subdued black coating balances the jacket. The XLARGE x PUMA capsule collection will release at select retailers on February 28th.

adidas Originals Superstar 80s “Black Mirror”*~

adidas Originals have returned to a similar formula, with a black and white version. The all-black upper is crafted from a luxurious combination of ponyskin and crocodile print-embossed leather giving the style a high-end feel. Sat upon a white outsole, the white is continued through the Trefoil logo on the ankle collar and tongue patch, while the final embellishment is the almost utility-looking reflective black metal toe cap. The sneakers are available now in women’s sizes from select retailers.

Nike Air Max 1 “Patch” Pack*~

Here's a look at an all-new Pack, Nike Air Max 1 "Patch". In terms of colors and features military inspired, each sneaker will come with overall 22 patches, referencing key people, places, and moments in the Air Max’s evolution. Every patch tells a story. From the thee-letter symbols of Tokyo (TKO), London (LDN), Milan (MLN), New York City (NYC), Paris (PRS), and Shanghai (HAI), to the subtle nods to Tinker Hatfield with TH87 and TH90 markings. The design has been rebuilt with a no-sew mud-guard, a premium, canvas upper, and polyester overlays on the heel and tongue. Look for the pack to become available at select retailers on February 26th.

Don C x Jordan Brand: Team Up For Another 'BHM' Air Jordan 1 Auction*~

Before the two launched the tonal blue Air Jordan 2 last month, Jordan Brand and Chicago native Don C originally linked up for a special Black History Month Air Jordan 1 and Just Don snapback pack in 2013. The sets, 37 in total, were auctioned off on eBay in celebration of the 37th Anniversary of Black History Month. Now, an alternate, white-based pack is being released for the 39th. The sets will go live on eBay at 2:00 p.m. EST today, with proceeds going to the Ever Higher Fund. Auctions are set to end next Saturday at the same time.

Air Jordan 4 Retro "Teal"*~

Here we see the remastered Air Jordan IV “Teal” with a premium leather upper done in striking shades of teal and blue, accented by black detailing around the midsole and heel. “Teal” appears to be a new colorway for Jordan, not a reproduction of a particular shoe in the brand’s history. It’s a refreshing change of pace, especially on a premium retro model, a subtle indicator that while Jordan may never abandon its past, it has one eye on the the future as well. Look for the remastered Air Jordan IV “Teal” to start hitting select retailers March 14th for $190 USD.

Following the release of its black predecessor, Nike has unveiled the “Royal Blue,” Nike Blazer Mid Metric QS. The hightop sneaker sports a rubberized hexagon, “Metric” pattern across its bright blue body. Competing with today’s propensity of designer hightop sneakers, a full tonal, blue wash has been extended to the rubber bottom sole, shoelaces, nylon mesh tongue and leather accents, as seen on the back heel tab. Nike’s latest is now available from select retailers.

mita sneakers x Reebok Ventilator “Blue Velvet”*~

In celebration of 25 years of the Ventilator, Reebok has linked with mita sneakers to release a new collaboration of the classic runner. Just like Elvis, Reebok and mita are all about their blue suede shoes, as here they present the “Blue Velvet” Ventilator. The joint effort features pig suede utilized on the upper, which then notes multiple blue hues. A white midsole plays offset underneath, while Reebok and mita branding tag the sneaks on the tongue, at the heel and alongside.

Gourmet Spring 2015 Collection*~

Italian-influenced footwear brand Gourmet presents its Spring 2015 collection. The drop features numerous brand staples such as the Nove, 35 Lite and Quadici, while we also note new faces like Gourmet’s new runner, the Netto. Various prints and fabrics have of course been utilized throughout the range, namely snakeskin, micro dot and an iridescent approach, amongst others.
